St. francis

Saint Francis is also known as Francis of Assisi. Born 1181/1182, Saint Francis was a friar and the founder of the Order of Friars Minor. Saint Francis was one of seven children. He was born to Pietro Di Bernardon, a rich cloth merchant. As a youth Francis became a troubadour. A troubadour is a composer and a writer of poetry during the high middle ages.
