Blessed Mother Teresa of Calcutta Patron of Missionaries.

Pope John Paul II Beatified Mother Teresa of Calcutta, founder of the Missionaries of Charity, on October 19, 2003. The Chruch recognized her as Blessed Mother Teresa of Calcutta and acknowledged that she has attained the blessedness of heaven. The healing of an Indian woman that occurres on the first anniversary of Mother Teresa's death was recognized by the Pope in 2002 as the miracle required for beatification.
