Oplatki Christmas Wafers are a wonderful Christmas Eve tradition celebrated in Poland and other Slav countries.

The Christmas wafers consist of 3 white wafers and 1 pink wafer which measure 3 x 5-1/2 inches, embossed with beautiful Nativity scenes, and then placed in a Christmas envelope. The white wafers are traditionally passed around the table and shared with guests on Christmas Eve along with good wishes and blessings . The head of the house shares the pink wafer at midnight with any animals he has as a reminder that we are all God's creatures.
